Model of nursing studies preferred
The central government has approved the initiative of the state government to start nursing education in medical colleges. The campaign of the state government has got a big boost from the announcement of the establishment of nursing colleges in the medical colleges in the Union budget.
At present, nursing education has been started in 22 medical colleges of the state. In this model of the Medical Education Department, it was seen that about Rs 250 to 300 crores are spent to build a medical college. If 40 crores more are spent then the medical college and nursing college can run side by side. Nursing college and hostel can be arranged in one acre. So far, the colleges where this model has been adopted have benefited. With this, doctors and nursing staff are being prepared under one roof.
The move to start nursing studies in 157 medical colleges opened after 2014 in the Union Budget is historic. UP, which has the largest population, will try to get maximum number of nursing colleges in its share. This model has already been adopted in the state. Proposals have also been sent to other colleges.

Liked the model of aspirational block
The Central Government has announced to implement the model of UP's Aspirational Development Block across the country. In the budget, emphasis has been laid on providing facilities for education, health, drinking water, electricity, transport, employment and skill development to aspirational development blocks in each state. With this announcement, the development of eight aspirational districts of UP will get further momentum. In fact, in 2017-18, the central government had declared 115 backward districts in the country as aspirational districts in terms of basic amenities and development. It also includes Balrampur, Shravasti, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Bahraich, Siddharthnagar and Chandauli in UP. Development projects and programs are being implemented in these districts as per the norms laid down by the National Policy Commission. Similarly, the state government has also declared 100 backward development blocks as aspirational.
ODOP is also implemented across the country
The 'One District-One Product' scheme implemented in UP in 2017-18 will also be implemented across the country. Under this, a product related to a traditional industry of each district will be branded in the country and abroad by making it the identity of that district. The central government had focused on this scheme at the national level in the last budget. In this budget also, the Finance Minister has announced to build ODOP malls at each state capital or major tourist center to promote the products related to them in all the states.
Gobardhan Yojana: Now work will be faster in UP
With the release of funds under the Gobardhan scheme in the central budget, now it will be possible to work on it faster in UP. The Center has announced a Rs 10,000 crore Galvanizing Organic Bio Agro Resources Dhan (Gobardhan) scheme for the entire country. Under this, 200 bio gas sub-centres will be set up. Work on this type of scheme is already underway in UP under the Bio Energy Policy.
Vishwakarma Samman for small artisans
